Key Features
Soft Spot Technology
A smoother, more forgiving energy profile that helps reduce harsh penetration and improves surface finish— especially on thin, delicate, or high-value components.
Power + Control
Up to 225J with adjustable pulse time and frequency, plus motorized spot control for precise, repeatable welds in production environments.
Operator-Focused Workflow
Built for comfort and speed with a 7" color touchscreen and internal joystick control—so you spend less time navigating menus and more time welding.
Overview
The TauWeld EDGE Series 225J is designed to deliver maximum precision in high-intensity work environments. It strikes a rare balance of performance, operational comfort, and versatility—ideal when weld consistency and aesthetic quality matter just as much as strength.
From everyday jewelry repairs to production-level fabrication, the EDGE platform is built for repeatability and high-quality results in a compact, professional benchtop format. Tauweld instruction manual can be found here
Soft Spot Technology (Included)
Soft Spot technology is an advanced beam-shaping feature that helps deliver smoother, more controlled energy transfer at the weld site. By softening the energy profile, it supports cleaner welds with better surface appearance and more predictable control—particularly valuable for delicate assemblies and visible jewelry welds.
- Cleaner cosmetic finish on visible welds
- More controlled penetration for thin sheet, wire, and prongs
- Reduced thermal stress to help minimize distortion and surface disruption
- Greater repeatability across multiple welds and operators
